Founder & Owner, Benchmark Senior Solutions
Benchmark Senior Solutions is proudly owned and independently operated by Richmond native Whitney Crawley, BSHA, LPTA, CDP. With more than 20 years of experience serving older adults, Whitney has dedicated her career to helping seniors and their families navigate the often-complex world of aging and senior care.
Whitney has practiced as both a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant and Director of Rehabilitation in the Richmond area, with medical expertise in geriatric care, dementia care, and orthopedic care. Whitney understands each community’s philosophies, advantages, and disadvantages. Her strong clinical background has proved to be fundamental in every situation she encounters with families and within communities.
Whitney has worked across the full continuum of senior care, including hospital, skilled nursing and rehabilitation centers, continuing care retirement communities, independent living, assisted living, memory care, long-term care, and residential care home settings.
Whitney's extensive experience allows her to evaluate not only the care needs of each individual but also the culture, strengths, and challenges of the communities she recommends. Her clinical expertise in geriatrics, dementia care, and rehabilitation helps families make informed decisions with confidence and peace of mind.
Advocating for seniors and helping families find the right solutions is more than a profession for Whitney—it's a calling.
"I knew during my clinical training that older adults were the population I was meant to serve. Our seniors have spent their lives contributing wisdom, hard work, sacrifice, and love to future generations. Helping them age with dignity and supporting families through difficult decisions is my way of giving back."
Whitney holds a Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Administration from Old Dominion University and an Associate of Applied Science in Physical Therapist Assistant Studies. She is licensed by the Virginia Board of Medicine as a Physical Therapist Assistant and is a Certified Dementia Practitioner (CDP).
When she's not assisting families, Whitney enjoys spending time outdoors with her three children, gardening, camping, and raising a flock of backyard chickens.
